Ylang Ylang oil is a member of the Annonaceae family. This oil has a sweet, exotic, floral scent that is one of the most sought after aromas. It is classed as a middle-base note and blends well with citrus, floral, spicy and woodsy oils.

Ylang Ylang has both anti-infectious and antiseptic benefits to treat the symptoms of acne and eczema. It may also help relieve dry, itchy skin while soothing and nourishing aged or damaged skin. Its aroma is both calming and alluring, making it the perfect stress reliever.

Common Uses: Ylang Ylang oil can assist with problems such as high blood pressure, rapid breathing and heartbeat, nervous conditions, as well as impotence and frigidity. Spiritual practitioners claim that the users of Ylang Ylang are those who have been drawn to the oil, and who in turn, suit it.

History: In Indonesia, Ylang Ylang flower petals are strewn upon the bed of newlywed couples. Ylang Ylang was a popular ingredient of hair preparations in Europe and was known as Macassar oil. The word anti-macassar originated from this, since an anti-maccasar was used to keep hair oil from staining upholstered furniture.

The Ylang Ylang complete is drawn off during the first phase and is generally considered the best quality for aromatherapy and perfumery. However, grades I, II & III should not be considered inferior, and the premier grade is so expensive that it is rarely produced.

This pure essential oil is undiluted, unadulterated and created just for you. It can be used in your diffuser (3-5 drops, depending on diffuser size, for whole water capacity), in your skincare, applied directly on the skin (patch test first) or as you please. It is very effective with the tunnelling method or for an instant energy change.

Close lid tightly during uses. It is best to store your pipette separately. If you are using your product with the pipette on frequent usage, ensure the pipette is empty when placing back into your product. This will prevent your pipette from degenerating. It is advisable to patch test product before use. Do not ingest. Keep out of direct reach from children. Store in a cool dry place. Take necessary precautions when using other medicines and during pregnancy.
